“I was honestly quite surprised at the caliber of talent that made it into this year’s anthology. It’s difficult to summarize my feelings for so many pieces, except that I recall gasping in wonder a number of times throughout. I believe “wow” also came out of my mouth once or twice.
Often, I find that many hands on a work can result in aimless direction; this was not at all the case here. The works are organized in such a way as to create a flowing, cohesive journey with expressions that speak the same idea in different voices. It is well formatted and easy reading.
But it would be remiss of me to fail to mention the curators of this anthology. The quality of these works speaks to a refinement at PoArtMo that I have generally known but now understand more in depth. This is a work of art as much for its parts as its sum, and the brains behind PoArtMo are largely responsible for that.”
