Contributors Pick Their Favorite Pieces from ‘The PoArtMo Anthology: Volume 3’ (1)

Hello everyone!

Welcome to our mini-series, in which contributors to The PoArtMo Anthology: Volume 3 tell us about their favorite pieces from the book.

Today, we focus on Azelle Elric’s picks.

Azelle’s Favorite Picks from Other Contributors

Kindku: “The Tabby of My Land” (Cendrine Marrouat)

My first choice is obviously biased 😉

I love cats, Ginger ones are quite exquisite creatures! This kindku shows a mutual love between twin souls. It’s simple, clear and lovely. That’s why I love it !

Vardhaku: “The Feeling of Home” (David Ellis)

When reading this vardhaku, I feel something mysterious and peaceful about it. I find this poetic form perfect to express this sensation of peace while looking at a beautiful and watery scenery, an almost dreamlike sensation which is particularly pleasant.

Azelle’s Backstory about Her Own Favorite Contribution: “Tea Faerie”

I love tea and coffee -a lot- and I also love experimenting while drawing.

Tea and coffee stains are enjoyable to use when coloring artworks. “Tea Faerie” is the happy result of one of these experiments: a mix between tea stains, calligraphic pen, white ink, and a lot of fun.

I must admit that I am very proud of this artwork and how it turned out since experimental results can be hazardous at times.

Hello everyone,

Today, we are delighted to unveil the cover for The Auroras & Blossoms PoArtMo Anthology: Volume 3!

Once again, this cover has been a labor of love for David and me. While I am the designer of the duo, I could not take anything to the next level without David’s keen eye and expert advice. I always feel lucky to have such a wonderful business partner in my life.

What’s next for the PoArtMo Anthology: Volume 3?

We are ready to submit the anthology to our distributor. Once accepted, we will have to wait for distribution to start. It should not take too long, though.

Keep an eye on the blog for the release date announcement! Pre-orders will be in session then, a period of several weeks during which you can grab your copy for 50% off the regular price!

We can’t wait for the anthology to be out. We know that you will love it!

Announcing the Names of the Contributors to The PoArtMo Anthology: Volume 3!

We are delighted to announce the names of all the contributors to the third volume of our PoArtMo Anthology.

Here they are below:

  • Azelle Elric (drawings)
  • Meaghan Beatty (essays)
  • David Ellis (poetry)
  • Cendrine Marrouat (poetry)

If you wonder why there are only four names, here is the answer.

This year, we realized that the artists working with us deserved more room within our pages. We wanted readers to get better acquainted with their work.

Since the space is limited in each volume, we figured that it might be a good idea to lower the number of contributors, while allowing each of them to submit more than three pieces to us.

After careful consideration, we settled for a total of four artists for this volume.

Of all the people who sent us work between January and June, Azelle and Meaghan were clear winners. Their pieces tick all the boxes for us: family-friendly, inspirational, and uplifting despite a few heavy topics.

While I LOVE the previous two volumes of the PoArtMo Anthology, this upcoming opus is my favorite because of the great balance between written and visual content it contains. Needless to say that David and I are very happy about our decision!

What’s next for the PoArtMo Anthology: Volume 3?

Right now, we are putting the finishing touches to our book cover. We should be ready to share the result with you next week. I cannot wait to show you!

In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your week.

Thank you for reading!
