Welcome to The PoArtMo Magazine, a new publication that focuses on impactful and inspiring writing.

PoArtMo stands for “Positive Actions Rally Thoughts & Momentum,” a concept based on the following tenets:

  1. Family-friendliness & clean language
  2. Positivity and upliftment
  3. Inclusivity and respect for all.

Inspired by NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and NaPoWriMo (National Poetry Writing Month), PoArtMo seeks to promote positive and inspirational art and creativity.

Submission deadline for Issue 1: October 31, 2025 (11:59 p.m. EST) or whenever a total of 40 accepted stories / essays / poems has been reached.

Who can participate? Anyone at least 17 years of age, including emerging authors and never-published writers. No matter who you are and where you come from, we welcome your submission.

Language: English only.

Genres accepted:

Maximum number of words per piece: 500. No exception.

Maximum number of pieces you can send per submission period: Up to 3.

Previously published pieces will be considered. But no simultaneous submissions, please!

Fee: $0 (but donations are appreciated!)

Payment: PDF copy of the issue.

Please note the following:

  • Your work must contain an inspirational / uplifting message and be family-friendly.
  • We will potentially consider difficult topics provided that your piece(s) contain(s) a positive / inspirational spin and a positive message can be taken away at the end. No swear words or erotica, please!
  • Contributors to The PoArtMo Magazine retain full copyright of their work. If your work is accepted, please wait for at least three (3) months after publication of the issue to submit your piece(s) elsewhere. If you decide to share your work on your blog / social media, a mention of the magazine would be appreciated.
  • NO AI-GENERATED WRITING ALLOWED!
  • Images that are under 180 ppi in resolution and 1,500 pixels on the longer side will automatically be rejected. Images must also be sent to us as separate files.
  • Due to our busy schedules, we only respond to accepted contributors. If you haven’t heard from us two months after submitting your work, you can consider your submission rejected.
  • Any unprofessional behaviors, threats and false accusations levelled against us will be addressed in the following manner: automatic rejection of your submission, no fee refund, and indefinite ban from submitting to us.
  • While we understand that mistakes happen, it is your responsibility to read and follow our guidelines. We will no longer contact artists who have incorrectly submitted to us to give them a second chance.
  • We will only publish an issue if we have at least 20 entries. Each published issue will be available for free download in our store.
